Summary Do you love food and are passionate about community outreach? Are you a tactical and organized marketing maven? Then, Lazy Acres is looking for you! The Store Marketing Coordinator (SMC) leads all aspects of store level marketing including tactical store marketing implementation, community relations, donations, events, partnerships and community classroom program execution. You will implement the marketing strategy in support of Corporate Marketing initiatives. Recognition of business unit interdependence and ability to leverage time and resources are essential. You must have the ability to communicate clearly within the context to multiple teams. Flexible schedule is necessary to meet store schedules. You will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines successfully while not sacrificing the quality of the tasks performed.
Develop written action plans to achieve store specific objectives; analyze and report on success of marketing programs; create and maintain monthly event calendar.
Monthly update meetings with Corporate Marketing & Community Team
Work with Corporate Marketing Team, Store Leadership and POP coordinator to execute in-store marketing efforts; ensure signage, POP placement; distribute/display collateral materials as directed; provide direction and implementation of seasonal décor and strategic cross merchandising.
Establish and maintain consistent branding throughout the merchandising, signing, and advertising efforts.
Share ideas with Corporate Marketing & Community team based on field experience of the market, area, and the customer
Work under the strategic guidance of the Community Programs team to create meaningful experiences in the store
Partner with store Chalk Artist & Corporate Marketing team to bring marketing programs to life
Community Marketing Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with staff and customers in the community to foster goodwill and brand awareness
Develop, communicate, and maintain strategic community event calendar based on store and corporate goals; identify and manage strategic opportunities within the community; execute plans based on the store Community Marketing budget with guidance from the Community Program Manager; coordinate store events and partnerships; schedule, coordinate, and plan successful execution of in-store and external events;
Coordinate and deliver local donations and associated programs; coordinate the execution and follow up of Envirotokens program and maintain a strong relationship with community recipients.
Liaison with the community and educators to coordinate on-site cooking classes and events based on Corporate strategic classroom program.
Coordinate and execute off-site community events and sponsorships, in partnership with the Corporate Marketing & Community team.
Set up, assist, and clean-up facilities before and after each cooking class/event.
Practice safe food handling procedures at all times. A plus if you enjoy cooking or have some background in cooking to best aid the chefs during their classes.
Must be comfortable with all age groups and different skill sets (toddlers, kids, young adults, adults).
Compiles lists of prospective educators, speakers, customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, Chamber of Commerce meetings, referrals, company database and other sources to promote use of facility.
Potential to attend community meetings as a representative of the company
Accounting via Microsoft Excel (inter-store transfers, chef payments, ticket sales- all reports are provided, but Coordinator would need to input info into spreadsheets).
Qualifications
As an extension of the Lazy Acres brand, candidates should be personable, outgoing, and be passionate about food and education.
Relevant schooling or work experience is required.
Two years marketing experience, preferably in a retail environment
One year community outreach and event marketing experience
Excellent proven verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, time, and budget management skills
Proven ability to build relationships and excellent customer service skills
Ability to interact with the media; will provide training if needed
Self-directed and able to work both autonomously and within a team
Ability to work with the needs of multiple teams, negotiate, and build consensus
Knowledge of local community preferred
Computer skills in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Ability to work holidays, nights, and weekends for special events and activations
Education Some college preferred. The individual must have experience and education sufficient to perform the outlined duties of the position along with multi-task and multi-project capabilities.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports. They must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills The Store Marketing Coordinator must have basic mathematics skills. They must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as percentages and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability The individual must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal in situations where only limited standardization exists. They must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
