Summary

The Technical Director/Architecture Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Technical Director with specialized architecture expertise in advanced AI/ML, integration patterns, security architecture, and other domains.

Impact

Provides critical specialized depth for comprehensive architecture coverage without overloading the primary Senior Technical Director, enabling focused expertise and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized architecture expertise supporting Senior Technical Director in complex technical domains.
• Conduct architecture deepdives and technical assessments in specialized areas.
• Advise on complex integration patterns, AI/ML implementations, security architectures, or other specialized domains.
• Review and validate technical approaches proposed by implementation vendors.
• Support proofofconcept architecture and technical validation activities.
• Provide expert guidance on emerging technologies and advanced architecture patterns.
• Assist with technical risk assessments for complex modernization initiatives.
• Participate in architecture governance reviews for highcomplexity technical decisions.
• Develop specialized architecture patterns and standards in the domain of expertise.
• Support Senior Technical Director #1 with technical advisory during critical decision points.
• Provide oncall architecture expertise for urgent technical issues in the specialized domain.

Required Experience or Knowledge

• 15+ years specialized technical architecture experience with deep expertise in one or more domains: AI/ML architecture, security architecture, integration architecture, cloud architecture, or data architecture.
• Deep specialized expertise in at least one critical architecture domain.
• AI/ML architecture and model deployment patterns (if AI specialist).
• Security architecture and Zero Trust implementation (if security specialist).
• Complex integration patterns and API architecture (if integration specialist).
• Advanced cloud architecture patterns (if cloud specialist).
• Data architecture and analytics platforms (if data specialist).
• Ability to provide rapid expert guidance on complex technical decisions.
• Architecture review and validation.
• Technical risk assessment and mitigation.
• Proofofconcept architecture and validation.
• Architecture standards and pattern development.
• Vendor technical evaluation.

Preferred Education / Certifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Masters degree or PhD in a specialized domain.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Security, or related field.
• Multiple specialized certifications in relevant domains.
• AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty (if AI focus).
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional Architecture (CISSPISSAP) (if security focus).
• Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA).
• Industry recognition (publications, speaking, thought leadership).

Required Security Clearance

• US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret trust or higher clearance, per contract requirements.
