PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: $85,000‑$115,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Local hire position; eligible candidates must be able to live and work in the US (citizenship, Green Card or work authorization).

Purpose of the Role Engineering role that requires strong and wide‑range technical knowledge and communication skills to discuss technical issues at all levels. Demands excellent analytic and fault‑finding skills and the ability to repair faulty equipment, providing 24/7/365 frontline support for media production studios, edit suites, digital production systems, and a range of underlying technologies and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair broadcast video, radio and other media production equipment, as well as server‑based technology, office network components and other associated technology.
Provide broadcast critical support and desktop IT support for newsroom staff (hardware and software installation and support for PC and Mac).
Use a diverse range of broadcast and production monitoring tools to identify and resolve complex service‑impacting issues across technologies and platforms.
Initiate response to service disruptions, implement contingency procedures, and support proactive measures to prevent recurrences.
Keep informed of operational changes to ensure actions align with best practice.
Accurately log incidents, including technical response and actions taken.
Maintain and support video editing suites.
Essential Criteria
Proven engineering experience supporting broadcast systems in live TV, radio, and/or multimedia environments.
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of audio and video broadcast systems, including analogue and digital platforms, and experience repairing electronic and mechanical faults.
Excellent ability to identify requirements and recognise whether these can be met effectively from the resources, timescales, skills and funds available.
The ability to apply logical engineering knowledge in unfamiliar troubleshooting situations.
Proven ability to communicate clearly using a range of styles, tools and techniques to explain technical issues to a wide range of people.
Desired But Not Required
Knowledge of networking, AoIP, Dante, MADI and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark).
Experience with graphics (e.g., VizRT) and editing software solutions.
Experience with studio automation and robotic systems.
Familiarity with remote access support using VPN, MSTSC, iLO and VMware.
