Runpod is seeking its first dedicated Events Marketing Lead to serve as the architect of our physical and virtual presence. This is a highvisibility, highautonomy role critical to scaling our brand awareness and generating highintent pipeline.

As Events Marketing Lead, you will own the strategy and execution of all things events, from major global conferences and intimate field marketing dinners to highimpact technical webinars. You are not just a logistics manager; you are a strategic marketer responsible for designing experiences that capture the imagination of the developer community and route leads with efficiency and precision.

Your success will be measured by the operational efficiency you bring to event planning, the quality of attendee experiences, and your ability to rapidly stand up and measure the ROI of complex event campaigns.

Team Details

  • You will be the foundational hire for the Events function within Runpod's lean, highimpact Marketing team.
  • Our team operates at the intersection of developer community building, highleverage content creation, and datadriven growth strategies.
  • We prioritize speed, experimentation, and measurable outcomes. We are builders who believe that the best marketing for a technical product is often technical itself.
  • While you will sit within the Marketing team, your function is inherently crossfunctional, requiring tight alignment with Sales, Developer Relations, and Product teams to ensure a seamless endtoend customer journey from event attendee to power user.

This role offers a unique opportunity to define and build an Events function from the ground up within one of the fastestgrowing AI infrastructure companies globally.

Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Management (Conferences & Field)
  • Global Event Execution: Plan and execute Runpod's presence at major industry conferences (e.g., KubeCon, AWS re:Invent, AI/ML summits), handling everything from booth design and vendor management to onsite logistics.
  • Field Marketing: Design and host intimate, highimpact field events (executive dinners, happy hours, local meetups) to support SalesLed Growth (SLG) motions in key regions.
  • Developer Activation: Collaborate with Developer Relations to create authentic experiences, such as hackathons or workshops, that resonate with our technical audience.
Virtual Events & Webinars
  • Webinar Program Ownership: Build and manage a consistent cadence of webinars, including technical demos, customer case studies, and partner panels.
  • Production Quality: Oversee the technical production of virtual events, ensuring highquality streaming, recording, and audience interactivity.
Operationalizing GTM Motions & Attribution
  • Lead Capture & Followup: Work with Marketing Operations to ensure seamless lead capture at events (scanning hardware, landing pages) and immediate routing to sales representatives.
  • Campaign Enablement: Stand up all aspects of event campaigns, including registration pages, email sequences, and tracking parameters to measure success.
  • Budget & ROI: Manage the events budget with precision and report on performance measurement, ensuring every dollar spent contributes to pipeline generation and brand lift.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Event Marketing, Field Marketing, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing endtoend logistics for both largescale trade shows and intimate field events.
  • Strong understanding of GTM fundamentals and how events fit into the modern B2B marketing and sales funnel.
  • Proficiency with virtual event platforms and webinar tools.
  • Experience working with CRM/Marketing Automation platforms (like HubSpot) to manage event registration and lead uploads.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and a highly proactive, selfstarter mindset.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred

  • Experience with a highgrowth startup in the B2B SaaS or developer tools space.
  • Experience operationalizing events for both ProductLed Growth (PLG) and SalesLed Growth (SLG) motions.
  • A passion for AI, highperformance computing, and the developer ecosystem.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 2030%) to support key events.

What You'll Receive

  • The competitive base pay for this position ranges from $145,000 to $180,000. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Runpod and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
