Job Description Job Description Position : Assistant Community Manager Application Requirements : Resume, Cover Letter, and located in California Job Description: · Responsible for managing communities (portfolio) in an efficient and value enhancing manner that is consistent with the overall strategic plan for each community, facility or complex · Accountable for all business, financial, and management aspects of the assigned communities including preparing, implementing and adhering to the approved strategic plan, a budget for the communities, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with residents, and supervising the day-to-day activities of the engineering, maintenance and other building staff as well as contract services Hours & Location : · Full-time (40 hours/week) · Schedule: Monday - Friday · Office is open 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, a schedule can be set within these hours. · Location: This is a remote work from home position, with a 90-Day probationary period. Wages & Benefits: · Starting Wage $25.00/hour. · Medical: 75% coverage for yourself; dependents and spouse may be added to company plan but 100% of the cost to be covered by the employee. · Sick Leave: Paid sick time will be accrued at a rate of 1 hour for every 36 hours worked Job Start · Holidays: 5 scheduled holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 floating holiday which you may take at your discretion with approval · Phone Reimbursement: $25 per month · Vacation: 5 days after first year, 1 additional day added after each year worked · 401K: Up to 3% matching 401K retirement plan after 1 year of service Required Skills: · Proficient in Microsoft office especially Word, Excel, and Outlook · Proficient in database use · Professional Writing Skills · Excellent Customer Service · Excellent Phone Skills · Excellent Time Management Preferred Skills: · HOA or Community/Property Management · Advanced in Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel, and Outlook · Experience with Village Management Software (VMS) Experience: · At least 1 year in a position with Customer Service component (required) · Any direct HOA or community/property management experience (preferred) Duties: Homeowner Relations Communications regarding community governance, maintenance, billing, community amenities, community schedule, owner responsibility, etc. Positive, professional, and honest communication with all Homeowners, Tenants, Property Managers Legal & Risk Management Maintain community insurance, negotiate best policy Confer with Legal Counsel on community governance and collections Community Governance Perform compliance inspections per community’s governing documents Organize and facilitate community elections Develop new rules and regulations (in conjunction with legal counsel) and process per HOA law Prepare for and attend Board Meetings: Prepare Board meeting agendas Create Board packets Notetaking at Board meetings Develop action items from Board meetings Prepare Management Report Conduct Community Inspections Financial Management Process & approve invoices Review Monthly Financials Prepare Yearly Budget Ensure adherence to approved budget Review Reserve Study Facilities Management Manage Vendors: Procure, review, and summarize bids for projects Approve quotes Review vendor insurance, licenses, and certifications Review and schedule regular vendors and project vendors Evaluate all vendor work completed on community Community Inspections Maintain schedule for preventative maintenance Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Education: Associate (Required) Experience: Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Language: Spanish (Preferred) License/Certification: CMCA (Preferred) Location: California (Required) Work Location: Fullerton, California6b250ea6-cee3-481d-915c-f7283f1b2f1b
