Systems Integration Engineer – Audio .
Role Summary Craft the signature sound experience in vehicles. Connect software development and in‑vehicle experience. Integrate complex audio software, develop test environments, and tune and validate audio systems.
Responsibilities
Develop automation frameworks in Python for audio features validation.
Manage hardware‑in‑the‑loop and software‑in‑the‑loop benches simulating vehicle acoustic environment.
Perform hands‑on subjective and objective audio tuning and validation in prototype and production vehicles.
Debug complex audio driver, DSP algorithm, media playback, and network streaming issues.
Integrate microphone array performance, AEC, and NR algorithms for hands‑free calling and voice assistant.
Define objective performance targets and subjective quality benchmarks for audio products.
Partner with software, QA, and hardware teams to deliver features.
Document test cases, automation scripts, tuning results, and bug reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5+ years experience in software integration, audio engineering, or system validation in automotive or consumer electronics.
Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data analysis.
Experience with embedded OS such as QNX, Android, or Linux and shell scripting for debugging.
Deep understanding of digital audio principles and DSP concepts.
Hands‑on experience with objective audio measurement tools.
Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills across audio signal path.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience tuning and validating advanced audio features like ANC or ESE.
Familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, and media streaming protocols.
Knowledge of automotive communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet TSN) and analysis tools.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins or GitLab.
Critical ear for music and audio quality with subjective listening tests.
Pay Disclosure (California) Salary Range: $146,900 – $184,000 USD.
