Our client, a leader in higher education , is looking to hire a Graphic Designer. This role is hybrid onsite 2-3x per week in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL.

*This job is a 6-month W2 contract role with benefits!*

As a Graphic Designer , you will be responsible for solving problems in a range of design projects, working to develop design standards and concepts for advertising and communications materials. Your role will support the organization's brand and strategic goals, driving audience engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and create graphic artwork, such as charts, graphs, or illustrations, for various publications, advertising materials and customers
  • Research, develop and lead conceptual and stylistic direction for direct response campaigns
  • Collaborate with managers, designers, editors, writers, and interactive developers to produce professionally designed materials that are in strategic alignment
  • Contribute to creative critiques and brainstorms and support evaluation of team success
  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage outside vendors such as printers, photographers, and illustrators
  • Ensure that graphic projects are completed on time & within budget

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Graphic Design
  • Extensive working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Ability to create small scale animations and animated gifs using Adobe XD/ After Affects highly valued!
