The Lead Web Developer is both a builder and a leader, responsible for creating branded marketing and e-commerce websites while guiding the work of fellow developers. In addition to hands-on development, the Lead Web Developer manages project workloads, scopes timelines, and supports quoting and planning. While not a direct people manager, this position is a key leadership role within our development work, helping shape the quality, efficiency, and culture of the team. Develop and maintain marketing and e-commerce websites using WordPress, Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and custom solutions Implement UX recommendations and optimize for performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices Troubleshoot and resolve website issues quickly and effectively Manage and assign workload from the project queue, balancing resources and meeting deadlines Evaluate project requirements and provide accurate scope and timeline estimates for quoting and planning Work closely with account management, design, copy, digital, and leadership teams to ensure alignment Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL Expertise in WordPress, Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce Familiarity with Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and marketing platforms such as Google Ads Manager and Facebook Business Manager Strong understanding of website aesthetics, UX principles, and SEO best practices Ability to scope projects and estimate timelines to support accurate quoting and planning Minimum 34 years of professional web development experience, with e-commerce expertise Bachelors degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field Experience providing team leadership, training, or mentorship in a development environment preferred Comprehensive Benefits Package including 100% employer-paid Health & Vision Insurance. ~Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Enjoy time off for yourself. ~ Growth & Professional Development Work in a dynamic, creative environment with opportunities for advancement.
