GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed and results oriented Senior Manager of Design to lead our AI UX/UI Design Team.
This position is a hybrid role that requires on-site 2-3 days a week at Palo Alto, CA or Manhattan, NYC.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs and translate them into digital experiences.
Manage shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization and support early product definition.
Advocate for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research sessions, and user testing.
Facilitate and participate in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs.
Drive end-to-end product design by framing problems, designing insights, and designing new methodologies/practices to serve customer needs.
Create process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models.
Deliver design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineering.
Teach, mentor and guide designers.
Prepare and manage department business plans, staffing projections and budgets.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience with User Experience design.
5+ years of experience building, growing & managing teams.
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Generative AI and Agentic systems.
Strong visual and UI design skills.
Experience providing creative direction.
Experience designing for cross channel experiences.
Strong communication and storytelling skills.
Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teams.
Annual Salary $146,575.00 - $229,600.00
