Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking part-time professionals to provide specialized instruction for students who are visually impaired in a K-12 educational setting located in Elida, NM. This role requires working onsite for approximately 21 hours per week throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to support the academic and developmental needs of visually impaired students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Utilize techniques and materials that accommodate students visual impairments to facilitate effective learning. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in relevant meetings and training. Qualifications: Valid New Mexico state and department of education license in Teaching Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS). Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
