Apply for a Staff Nurse I position providing direct patient care during evening shifts at UI Health, a comprehensive academic health system in Chicago, IL.
Base pay range:
$32.00/hr – $67.00/hr

Flex Evenings (rotating schedule) Positions:

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement patient care plans based on ongoing assessment and family input.
Verify and execute orders from physicians and advanced practice providers, documenting accurately in the EHR.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote high‑quality patient care.
Advocate for patients, families, and the nursing profession.
Assume charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, fostering a positive learning environment for staff and students.
Lead precepting and education of nursing and support staff.
Maintain current certifications (BLS/CPR, ACLS or advanced cardiac life support) and stay current with Illinois RN licensure.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (R.N.) in Illinois.
Current BLS/CPR and advanced cardiac life support certifications.
Proficiency in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Excellent attendance and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an Emergency Department setting.
