Marli New York is seeking a highly organized Senior Graphic Designer, Brand Experience to join our Creative Department. The role crafts sophisticated brand collateral for print and experiential touchpoints and requires exemplary design, typography, and production skills with acute attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Translate creative concepts with an elevated design for brand experiences, including but not limited to visual merchandising, event creative and collateral, advertising for print, OOH, packaging, and clienteling.
Partner with the Art Director to ensure that designs align with creative direction and meet business needs.
Design and manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring milestones are met and projects are delivered on time.
Accurately prepare layouts and mechanicals for production.
Collaborate with regional marketing teams, agencies, and external post‑production partners to ensure that all assets are built to the correct specifications.
Engage with internal and external cross‑functional teams—marketing, merchandising, operations, agencies, post‑production—to keep projects on track and meet brand standards.
Communicate and present layouts and creative concepts to senior management and partners.
Develop design templates and libraries to improve workflow efficiency.
Assist in the development and organization of the creative assets library.
Conduct creative research and development, staying on the pulse of trends in luxury retail, event spaces, design, editorial, and culture.
Requirements
6 to 10 years of experience as a graphic designer with a strong emphasis on print and environmental design, preferably in a luxury or fashion retail in‑house creative team or agency.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
CAD or 3D rendering skills a plus.
Exceptional graphic design and typography skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates line, color, composition, and photography integration.
Expert knowledge of layout, color, material, and mechanical preparation.
Understanding of marketing, production, event design, visual merchandising, corporate identity, product packaging, and advertising.
Effective time‑management skills with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
A curious eye that incorporates passion for art, design, typography, photography, and fashion into design.
A proactive, self‑starter and process‑oriented thinker who anticipates and navigates project challenges.
Enthusiastic and effective collaborator with a strong work ethic.
Strong communication skills, adept at giving and receiving constructive criticism.
