DRMP is seeking a Roadway Design Project Manager to join our Atlanta team and drive innovative roadway solutions across Georgia. If you're a licensed PE with a passion for infrastructure and a knack for leading multidisciplinary teams, this role offers the chance to shape communities, mentor talent, and grow your career in a purpose-driven environment.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

Your Primary Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway improvement projects for state, county, and municipal clients across Georgia, including new location corridors, roadway widening, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, highway safety enhancements, intersections and interchanges, and design‑build projects.

Guide projects through all phases—from advanced planning to final design and construction support—while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high‑quality, on‑budget solutions.

Overall management of transportation infrastructure improvement projects of varying complexity across Georgia.

Provide professional engineering design services for transportation improvement projects.

Oversee development of construction plans, specifications, estimates, and detailed engineering calculations.

Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines.

Direct and mentor design support staff, fostering technical growth and alignment.

Conduct engineering investigations and feasibility analyses using collected data.

Evaluate alternative design solutions and contribute to critical decision‑making.

What You'll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.

Georgia PE license.

10–15+ years of roadway design experience, GDOT experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards.

Management acumen including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction and staff management.

Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written, and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members.

A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset and commitment to team success.
