User Experience Designer – REMOTE

Fully remote. Candidate must be based in the USA, and work EST hours.
Long‑term contract position with a major financial/investment firm. Financial services experience is highly desired. Consumer‑facing mobile and web design experience is needed. Strong portfolio demonstrating previous design work is required. Minimum of 5 years of UX design experience at a major corporation is required.

Mobile‑for‑web design expertise and consumer space/retail experience
Creative visual design, design systems, storytelling, data‑driven design, research studies, turning insights into creative solutions
Responsibilities
Engage in the full lifecycle of client projects including unit tests, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.
Design conceptual wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes.
Co‑create designs with developers, marketing, and product stakeholders.
Communicate detailed design decisions and represent all experience touchpoints.
Align with multidisciplinary teams across the customer office business.
Analyze friction within existing experiences, identify root causes, and translate solutions.
Skills and Experience
Responsive web design principles and mobile‑friendly layouts
Web accessibility guidelines such as WCAG 2.0/2.1
Experience with Content Management Systems
Strong knowledge of design thinking
Design‑related degree or relevant experience in designing products and services
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems logically and systematically
Knowledge of the insurance business is a plus
