Qualifications
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent; two years of related experience.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of online course design principles and practices.
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas) and instructional technologies.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Knowledge and ability to implement accessibility on digital content.
Preferred qualifications:
Masters in Curricular Design or related experience working with students or faculty; experience with LMS such as Canvas.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with instructors and subject matter experts to design and develop online, blended, and web-enhanced courses.
Consult and support faculty and/or staff with instructional design; lead design projects and manage course development resources.
Plan and coordinate materials with course instructors, instructional design team, IT, and multimedia team.
Identify and recommend instructional strategies, technologies, and applications.
Lead faculty and/or staff through the design process and provide key recommendations.
Plan, develop, and deliver faculty and/or staff training on instructional strategies and course design.
Research and review emerging instructional design innovations and trends.
Review course modules, ensure accessibility and ADA compliance, oversee the course review process, and suggest improvements.
