Full Time Position Overview
We are looking for a Design Project Manager to join our Industrial team, to support overall building design execution and coordination of multi-discipline personnel. This position is similar to a building Architectural or MEP design "project manager". In this role, you will be the primary interface with proposal and project teams, supporting your assigned projects from concept into execution, working in a highly matrixed environment. You will drive estimating, productivity (schedule and quality) and monitor the project to ensure we will deliver on time and within budget. District Overview

This role is based out of our Lenexa, Kansas office. Responsibilities
Lead the building project team, acting as the primary interface with project management and other project discipline leads. Own project performance (productivity, quality, schedule); monitor project and team metrics; identify underperformance and execute recovery plans. Support project initiation and development in both estimate and execution phases to ensure projects are set up for success. Manage project staffing to support each project while developing the team through high expectations. Drive communication within the project team and stakeholders to convey activities, contractual requirements, budget, and schedule. Collaborate with the estimating department, applying lessons from production. Serve as the primary interface with procurement, construction, client, and project management regarding building design and execution. Maintain and develop relationships with EPC project stakeholders as the representative for IBG’s center of excellence for buildings. Attend weekly project meetings: Leads Coordination Meeting, Project Controls, Model Walks, Procurement. Run weekly buildings internal coordination meetings. Forecast project manpower needs to IBG department managers. Define and own project schedules and document control metrics. Promote the EPC mindset on the project team. Understand project contract requirements and what was included in the estimate. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant design experience and 3 years of relevant building project management experience leading a team (or a combination of those years). Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license preferred. Knowledge of multi-discipline industrial building design and experience leading technical resources, managing scope, schedule, budget. Solution‑driven with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate and drive completion. Experience with EPC building execution preferred. Other Requirements
Regular reliable attendance. Work productively and meet deadlines. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others. Perform work safely and effectively; follow oral and written instructions, warning signs, equipment use, and policies. Work during normal operating hours; work overtime and weekends as required.
