Flight Training Design Developer
Cirrus Aircraft is a global leader in personal aviation, known for the SR Series and Vision Jet. The Aircraft's Cirrus Approach team wants a highly motivated creation‑oriented person with aviation, education, and design expertise to promote effective flight training design and development. Key responsibilities include overseeing and evolving the global training curriculum for the SR‑series and SF50 Vision Jet™ aircraft, collaborating with media and software developers to build training products, ensuring content accuracy and relevance, and leading training initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Drive engaging learning experiences and results through flight training and accepted teaching methods.
Identify training needs, invent creative solutions to meet them.
Write clear, accurate technical documents depicting processes and standards.
Develop and manage training curriculum.
Plan and implement projects independently, including timelines, resources, budgets, and scope.
Design storyboards, scripts, and conceptual plans for deliverables (live action, animated videos, eLearning, job aids, instructor‑led training, etc.)
Design graphics, animations, and other assets for Cirrus Approach courseware.
Collaborate with designers, producers, and on‑screen talent to create video scripts.
Conduct focus groups with end‑users for feedback.
Manage internal projects, track milestones, communicate barriers, and keep team apprised of progress.
Revise and organize existing documents, identify gaps, and execute per standards.
Explore future multimedia flight training opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Education (preferred)
Current FAA CFII and second‑class medical certificate.
At least six months of recent flight instruction experience.
At least 300 logged flight instruction hours.i da
100 hours high‑performance, single‑engine, technical advanced aircraft (TAA) experience required.
FAA IGI & AGI certificate (preferred).
2+ years of flight and ground instruction experience.
1 year of pilot school certification and management experience (preferred).
50 hours SR2X flight training experience (highly preferred).
1 year of experience with design and animation software (Adobe CC, etc.) (preferred).
