What You Get To Do

Create and execute the best seasonal events in the local market.

Enhance the guest experience with costumed characters, atmospheric entertainment and an immersive park environment.

Deliver show elements and special effects on park rides as designed.

Contribute to the park’s senior leadership team.

Prepare long‑term plans to meet the future business needs of the Entertainment department.

Create budget and schedules for the execution or implementation of show and event products, including new capital.

Efficiently manage associated expenses, including labor and capital costs, as well as work schedules, to ensure alignment with budgets and schedule expectations.

Create a review and approval process for work requests aligned with the Entertainment experience requirements.

Collaborate with park and park support stakeholders; manage the award of vendor work, track project progress, and ensure timely completion of work efforts.

Provide appropriate support to ensure Entertainment product intent is carried through to completion.

Develop and lead Entertainment ambassadors, ensuring performance standards across areas, shops and between other departments.

Listen and respond to employee concerns; positively resolve workplace issues.

Ensure adequate staffing, tools and training, and communicate effectively ensuring ambassadors see and understand the overarching plans and goals of the department.

Maintain open and regular communications, including presentations for approvals, with park senior leadership, corporate leadership, D&E and other stakeholders to ensure creative alignment with the Entertainment experience.

Ensure a safe work environment, safe work practices and a safe park experience for guests.

What It Takes To Succeed

Minimum of 5 years in entertainment management, as a Manager or Producer, or in the role of a producer in a live entertainment department within a theme park or similar environment.

Strategic planning, time management and project management skills.

Business acumen, negotiation and decision‑making.

Interpersonal skills to include leading a positive team environment that includes productive collaboration with other functions and business partners.

Leadership skills to influence, inspire and positively resolve issues.

Motivate a diverse workforce to task completion, positively interact with guests and co‑workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.

Handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced work environment.

Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community.

Prepare scope of works, read designs and deliver presentations to small and large groups.

What Else Is Important

Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout the entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.

Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor‑to‑waist / waist‑to‑overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).

Be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat; position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes.

Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.

Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid‑closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Be flexible in work locations as the placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
