Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Public Relations Associate to join our team. This role is integral to our communications strategy, helping to build and maintain a positive public image for our organization. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with strong communication skills who can effectively manage media relations and craft compelling narratives about our initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of public relations campaigns and strategies.
Draft press releases, media alerts, and other materials to promote the organization's initiatives.
Manage relationships with media representatives and respond to media inquiries in a timely manner.
Monitor media coverage and compile reports on public relations activities and outcomes.
Coordinate events, including press conferences, community outreach, and promotional activities.
Conduct research to identify potential media opportunities and industry trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in public relations or a communications role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling.
Proficient in media relations and familiarity with media monitoring tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Salary & Benefits
Pay range: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
