Social Media Manager, DSA Marketing & Communications Office

Department: Division of Student Affairs Marketing and Communications Office, Florida State University
Responsibilities
Produce digital media, including visual stories aligned with divisional goals.
Collaborate with campus partners for creative concepts and ensure timely, high‑quality project delivery.
Optimize digital channels to engage key audiences.
Provide photography and videography services and lead content creation across social platforms.
Develop short videos and animations for electronic media and support marketing campaigns and special projects.
Manage and organize digital assets for accessibility and backup.
Research industry and best practices to inform the annual calendar and marketing plan.
Monitor social media schedules and train unit representatives.
Support programs and events by attending and curating social content.
Use measurement tools to provide progress and performance reports and key insights.
Collaborate with departments and staff to leverage digital and social media space.
Supervise Social Media Specialist and guide social media student employees.
Identify professional development opportunities and stay up‑to‑date with latest trends and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with four years of experience in media, communications, or marketing services; or high school diploma/equivalent with eight years of related experience.
Strong visual storytelling, photography, and videography skills.
Experience managing content across multiple social platforms.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Ability to analyze social media metrics and present insights.
