Designer – Interior Workplace – Senior
Location: Denver, CO
Gensler is seeking a Senior Designer with a workplace interiors background to join our dynamic team in the Denver office as a project and client leader. You’ll merge creativity with technical expertise to craft spaces that are visually compelling, environmentally conscious, and budget responsive. Key Responsibilities
Lead interior design assignments including programming, conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Provide strategically minded design support throughout the organization, production, and execution of projects.
Collaborate with internal/external core & shell teams, professional consultants, and strategic partners.
Generate design iterations, 3D modeling, and rendering using Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Lead client meetings and serve as the primary client point of contact.
Develop interior architectural, finish, and reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and schedules.
Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to realize design and budget goals.
Mentor junior designers and help lead multiple projects at a high level.
Nurture and sustain client relations with a large tech client.
Contribute to office activities, communicate firm initiatives, and promote an interdisciplinary design approach.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
12+ years of interior design experience with a portfolio demonstrating programming, schematic, design development, CD, and finished project photos.
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to iterate on client requests, budget, and design constraints.
NCIDQ certification or Architecture license encouraged.
Knowledge of sustainable and universal design concepts.
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and other modeling software.
Familiarity with furniture, finishes, materials, color selection, and specification procurement.
Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate ideas.
Flexibility to focus on a single client across multiple projects in various stages of development.

Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000 annually + bonuses + benefits.
Notice: At Gensler an unlicensed Interior Designer will have the job title of Designer and operate in this capacity for alignment with internal programs, doing business with clients and compliance with industry and government regulations.
