Summary The purpose of this position is to expedite the food orders directly from the Kitchen lines to the dining rooms.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as a minimum. Students currently enrolled in High School who are working part time while attending school are an exception.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Dispatch complete and accurate food orders from kitchen to Food runners
Set up the line with proper dishes needed to plate the menu dishes. Run more dishes as needed
Fill up garnishing cooler and well for menu dishes
Garnish food items per menu list and chefs instructions
Clean completed plates ready to be ran to dining room
Modify food items and garnishes per special instructions on food orders.
Communicate with servers and cooks to clear questionable orders or modifiers
Communicate with cooks, chefs and food runners on proper garnishments during service as needed
Use best judgement and established quality standards in the expedition of each dish
Assist cooks when necessary
Assist food runners when necessary.
Attend training classes as required.
Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled.
Follow Resort Standards of Operation procedures.
Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee occasionally must balance and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
