Position Description Reporting to the Outbound Supervisor, the Order Expeditor is responsible for daily reconciliation of outbound orders and pick‑tickets in Solve’s Charlotte Distribution Center to ensure that every priority order satisfies our customers’ on‑time delivery. In this role the focus is to expedite high priority shipments (UPS NDA, FedEx NDA and same day customer pick‑ups) while ensuring all remaining orders in each batch are fully processed, reconciled and visible in the system. The Order Expeditor will exhibit relentless follow‑through, strong system competency (Epicor P21, PowerBI, carrier portals, etc.) and clear, concise communication with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Carriers and various other departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can triage conflicting priorities on the fly and brings a continuous improvement mindset to every opportunity.
Responsibilities
Monitor open orders in Solve’s ERP system consistently throughout the day and verify every print ticket /order to ensure it has a corresponding shipment confirmation or documented exception
Close each batch of pick tickets promptly once all orders are shipped, cancelled or rescheduled
Ensure system accuracy and inventory integrity, investigate shortages, address stock discrepancies and provide substitutes when feasible
Proactively pull and stage UPS NDA, FedEx NDA and any “hot” order to meet same day cut‑off and flag at‑risk orders early and escalated immediately with data back recommendations
Leverage Power BI dashboards and system queries to track download times, pick progress, carrier cut‑offs and late day backlog and document causes of missed orders and be prepared to communicate them to the leadership team
Assist with warehouse outbound functions (picking, packing and shipping) as needed when there is bandwidth outside of prioritized order closure responsibilities
Qualifications
High School Degree or Equivalent
1+ year experience in Warehousing and/or Inventory Control
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs
Proficiency with computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience having worked with bearings and/or power transmission component parts
Experience performing Cycle Counts/Physical Inventory
Forklift Experience and Certification
