About the Role Barron's, one of the leading financial and investing publications in the U.S., is seeking a high-energy reporter who can insightfully cover breaking business news and what it means for investors. The role is part of the Barron's rapid response news team, which eschews commodity stories in favor of delivering analysis-or an interesting angle-about the news in the timeframe readers are searching to understand news events. The reporter will have the opportunity to write longer, reported-out features and analytical pieces so some experience of this would be an advantage. Barron's values teamwork, so a collaborative approach is required.

You Will

Track breaking news of publicly traded companies, financial markets, and other subjects of interest to Barron's readers

Generate analysis and angles on the day's biggest stories

Write quickly and cleanly under tight deadlines

You Have

At least three years of experience working as a reporter at a national or trade business news publication

The capability to offer insights into the biggest stories of each day using FAQs, charts, and other news-you-can-use story forms

Passionate about markets and finance, energized by breaking news

Relentlessly committed to factual accuracy

Familiarity with corporate balance sheets, financial valuations, and investing principles would be ideal

Pay Range $80,000 - $105,000
