Fully Remote, must be willing to travel to the office quarterly in Sioux Falls, SD Salary:
$70K–$150K base + bonus (salary depends on experience) Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Fire Protection Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing fire protection systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and residential projects while providing relocation assistance for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities
Design fire protection systems for a variety of projects including commercial, residential, and industrial applications. Ensure designs meet all relevant codes and standards, including NFPA guidelines. Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate fire protection systems into building designs. Utilize software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and AutoSPRINK to create detailed design drawings and specifications. Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing systems and determine design requirements. Prepare project documentation and reports for review by clients and regulatory agencies. Assist in the training and mentorship of junior designers and drafters. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire protection. Requirements
Must have NICET III certification or Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) license 5+ years relevant experience Must be coming from a Mechanical Contractor Benefits
