Associate Media Specialist
or
Media Specialist
applies media skills in support of graphic communications and web design and development. Topical areas of expertise may include, but are not limited to, multimedia and interactive multimedia, pre-press and electronic information products, graphic comprehensives, document production, exhibit preparation, video production, artwork design and layout, visual communications, webpage design and maintenance, and illustrating animation. Specific media support provided varies according to assignment. Responsibilities of an Associate Media Specialist (Grade level 63) Designs and produces limited multimedia programs which may include one or more of the following: programming, animation, graphics, audio/visual communications in technical, educational, or promotional information systems depending upon the individual assignment Consults with customers regarding production schedules, cost, and potential visual impacts of limited media production technologies and techniques Organizes and drafts graphic communication products yielding professional quality, comprehensive, products for use within the organization. Provides broad technical design support for graphics services. Research and remain cognizant of developing multi-media technologies May provide other support to the department not related to media as time permits and as needed Other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities of a Media Specialist (Grade level 65) Produces various multimedia programs Consults with and advises customers regarding production schedules, cost, and potential visual impacts of various media production technologies and techniques Plans, organizes, and directs, graphic communication products yielding professional quality, comprehensive, products for high profile use within the organization and also of quality appropriate for client and company consumption Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, media or similar discipline; or Technical certificate in graphics arts, media or similar and related experience; or High school diploma and GED and related experience. Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite as well as the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects). Knowledge of other software packages, such as DaVinci Resolve Familiar with using DSLR cameras and other related equipment (microphones, lights, etc.) for videography and photography About

Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.
