Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
About Nood Nood is building the next generation of beauty-tech: powerful at-home devices and high-performance skincare that actually deliver. We sit at the intersection of beauty, technology, and modern aesthetics, with a brand that feels as considered as the products themselves.
Role Overview The Creative Director will own how Nood looks, feels, and expresses itself across every touchpoint. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for someone who can move fluidly between concept and execution: building a cohesive, elevated brand world while shipping assets that drive real business results.
You will:
Set and safeguard the visual and creative direction for Nood across devices, skincare, and future product lines
Lead end‑to‑end creative for launches, campaigns, and content in partnership with the CMO and CEO
Work hand‑in‑hand with the Director of Performance Creative to ensure that what we make is not just beautiful, but also high‑performing in feed, in email, on site, and in ads
Act as a creative producer, sourcing and directing external partners (photographers, videographers, stylists, editors, agencies) to execute at a best‑in‑class level
Eventually, help spearhead creative direction for new brands or concepts developed under the broader Nood umbrella
This role is ideal for someone who has built or significantly shaped a high‑growth consumer brand (beauty, skincare, fashion, or design‑forward CPG) and is excited to do that again, closer to the ground, with meaningful ownership.
Key Responsibilities See detailed responsibilities below.
Who You Are
Own and evolve Nood's visual identity and design system across digital, physical, and experiential channels
Ensure every touchpoint (website, packaging, campaigns, emails, social, retailer presence) feels unmistakably brand aligned
Raise the aesthetic bar with a culturally‑relevant and thought‑provoking sensibility: creative, intentional, elevated, and innovative
Develop and maintain brand guidelines that are actually used (and usable) by internal and external teams
Partner with the CMO and CEO to turn product strategy into clear creative platforms and launches
Lead concepting for new product launches (devices, skincare, sets) and ongoing hero campaigns
Create compelling storytelling frameworks for our core and new products that translate seamlessly across web, social, email, retail, and paid
Work closely with the Director of Performance Creative to adapt brand platforms into performance‑ready concepts, creative tests, and iterative variations
Act as a creative producer for Nood:
Scope and brief shoots (photo and video), from casting and styling to locations and shot lists
Source, evaluate, and manage a roster of photographers, videographers, editors, stylists, illustrators, and agencies
Own creative direction on set and in post‑production to ensure output is on‑brand, on‑brief, and on‑time
Build lightweight but effective production processes (bids, timelines, asset delivery, file organization) that can scale as the brand grows
Lead creative direction for packaging and unboxing, sleeves, kits, and limited‑edition executions in collaboration with the CMO and CEO
Influence visual and tactile aspects of device and skincare design (color, form language, finishes, labeling) in partnership with product and manufacturing partners
Ensure that every interaction, from opening the box to placing the device on a bathroom counter, feels cohesive and intentional
Own the creative direction of Nood's digital experience: homepage, PDPs, landing pages, campaign hubs, education content, and merchandising narratives
Collaborate with dev/UX partners on site layouts and flows that bring the brand to life while supporting performance goals
Support creative for retail and marketplace presence (e.g., packaging, Amazon creative, retail displays), ensuring a unified brand expression
Support executive leadership in exploring new brand concepts beyond Nood's core business
Develop early brand identity, naming input, packaging direction, and launch creative for these new ventures as they emerge
Build creative frameworks that can support a small portfolio of brands over time
You have strong taste and a point of view, grounded in beauty, design, and culture, but you also know how to work within commercial realities
You are as comfortable in Figma/Keynote/Adobe as you are on set or in a strategy working session
You thrive in lean, fast‑moving environments where you can own the creative function end‑to‑end
You enjoy partnering with performance teams and can see creative through a brand + performance lens, not one or the other
You're comfortable being both a director and a doer: building moodboards, sketching layouts, giving on‑set direction, and reviewing edits.
Requirements Qualifications
6 - 10 years of experience in creative direction, art direction, or brand design, ideally with high‑growth consumer brands in beauty, skincare, fashion, or design‑forward CPG
A portfolio that clearly shows:
Brand identity systems and visual worlds you've defined or led
Campaigns and launches across multiple channels (web, social, email, OOH, retail)
Strong photography and film direction (look/feel, casting, styling, composition)
Packaging or product‑adjacent design work (bonus if in beauty/skincare/devices)
Experience sourcing, briefing, and managing external creative partners and production vendors
Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and translate strategy into clear creative directions
Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for creative decisions while staying open to feedback and data
Benefits Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: Up to $160,000 USD (dependent on experience and location)
Total compensation may include equity and performance‑based incentives depending on experience and scope of ownership
Comprehensive health/vision/dental benefits; PTO; hybrid flexibility
The role is hybrid / remote‑friendly, with a strong preference for candidates based in or able to regularly travel to New York City or Austin, TX for shoots, strategy work, and key creative sessions
