JOB TITLE: Video Producer
REPORTING TO: Director, Content
DEPARTMENT: Content, Marketing
LOCATION: Orangeburg, NY
POSITION OVERVIEW: The purpose of this role is to assist the Content team in telling the story of New York City FC through best-in-class video content for all New York City FC owned and operated channels. Working with the Director, Content this role will be directly involved in the day-to-day content production for a professional sports club, alongside a talented and ambitious content team of videographers, photographers, and social media producers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Ideate, produce, create, and edit video content of New York City FC home matches and training sessions for First Team, NYCFC II, & Academy, community & marketing events, and other projects as assigned to tell the NYCFC story through video content.
Engage in pre-production planning, creative direction, filming, and editing of both long-form and short-form video content
Plan and capture video in diverse settings, including structured shoots, press conferences, media sessions, and team events both indoors and outdoors
Set up lighting, audio equipment, and cameras for shoots, including multi-camera setups
Process, organize, and maintain video file organization
Stay up to date with social trends and identify opportunities for engagement, collaborating with the Content team to deliver short-form video assets for owned channels.
Use social data to inform video content decisions on a daily basis
Able to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment.
Follow brand guideline specifications and ensure consistency on quality during production.
Must be able to follow instructions.
WHO YOU ARE:
1+ years of video production, including managing multiple cameras, wired and wireless audio and lighting, and strong editing skills on Premiere
1+ years of experience working with professional athletes and establishing relationships with coaches and sporting executives.
Experience concepting, pitching, and editing content from start to finish, with strong creative and visual storytelling skills
Strong eye for social-friendly content, with ability to understand what will perform well
Excellent communication skills and strong understanding of brand awareness
Able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
Advanced Spanish language a must
Experience shooting on Mirrorless, DSLR, or Digital Cine Cameras or equivalent
Proficiency in setting up lighting, audio equipment, and cameras, including multi-camera shoots
Knowledge and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience working with both ambient and studio lighting
Strong knowledge of U.S. soccer, MLS and international game
Experience working with professional athletes
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
Ability to travel and cover road matches.

COMPENSATION: This exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $65,000-$72,000 and is not overtime eligible. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise.
