Interior Design Sales Specialist (full-time/part-time)
– Living Spaces Furniture
Position Summary:
Provide in‑store guest service with Interior Design focus, following the Guest Engagement Model. Handle scheduled design appointments and analyze project requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and engage guests using the Guest Engagement Model
Determine guests’ goals for their design project
Provide relevant design advice, product knowledge, and recommendations
Present customized room designs with sample fabrics, furniture, etc.
Maintain current knowledge of merchandise lines
Master product knowledge and brand design inspiration
Process customer transactions in the POS system
Complete required training and participate in ongoing learning opportunities
Support store team to achieve revenue targets
Ensure store is “Grand Opening” ready through daily tasks and style guides
Work weekends and most holidays
Adapt to fast‑paced environment
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Associate degree in interior design or equivalent. 1–2 years customer service/retail experience, or equivalent education/experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of design software a plus.
Certificates and Licenses:
Vocational certificate or degree in interior design; must complete Living Spaces certification program.
Position Hiring Range & Compensation Pay range: $18.45–$23.95 per hour, based on education, experience, skills, location, and market data. Eligible for team bonus based on KPIs.
