Graphic Designer Screen Printing and Apparel Decoration

Position Summary The Graphic Designer at Flooded Screen Prints is responsible for creating high‑quality artwork, mockups, and production‑ready files for screen printing, embroidery, DTF, and wide‑format printing. This role ensures that every design meets brand standards, print specifications, and customer expectations while maintaining fast turnaround times. You will work closely with the Sales, Admin, and Production teams to ensure jobs move smoothly from concept approval to print.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Artwork Development:
Create custom designs, illustrations, and layouts for apparel and promotional items; turn customer ideas, sketches, and inspiration into polished art concepts; build digital mockups for quotes and approvals; maintain Flooded brand style across all artwork.
Production‑Ready File Preparation:
Prepare separations for screen printing (spot color, CMYK, halftones); create vector files and clean up customer‑submitted artwork; know proper sizing, placement, DPI, and color profiles for each print method; set up files correctly for embroidery, DTF, wide‑format, and vinyl cutting.
Workflow and Communication:
Work with the Admin/Customer Success team to confirm artwork details; communicate with Sales to understand client needs and timelines; upload final files into the correct YoPrint job and Google Drive folder structure; follow all SOPs for artwork naming, storing, and version control.
Quality Control:
Ensure all designs meet print standards before sending to production; review colors, sizing, and placement before jobs go to press; catch design issues early to prevent misprints and delays.
Brand and Marketing Support (as needed):
Create graphics for social media, banners, signage, and in‑house promotions; contribute to merchandise development for Flooded, School Spirit Central, and custom campaigns.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Understanding of screen printing production requirements and separations.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality.
Strong creativity and eye for detail.
Knowledge of color theory, typography, and garment design.
Basic understanding of embroidery digitizing (bonus).
Preferred Experience
Worked in a print shop or apparel decoration environment.
Familiarity with YoPrint or similar shop management software.
Experience with vectorizing and cleaning low‑quality artwork.
Experience creating halftones and advanced separations.
Performance Expectations

Produce accurate proofs that reduce rejections and revision cycles.
