Gogo is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented

Technical Illustrator

to join our dynamic team. This role is at the heart of blending technical knowledge with creativity to produce user-friendly manuals, guides, and online resources using graphics that empower users and enhance their overall maintenance experience with our products and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating precise and clear visual representations of complex technical information and will possess excellent technical drawing skills, proficiency in industry-standard illustration software, and a keen eye for detail to maintain consistency in style and accuracy across all illustrations.

How will you make a difference?

Design and format documents to enhance readability and usability

Utilize design software (like Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar CAD software) to create and modify graphics

Create illustrations for user manuals or technical documentation

Produce technical drawings and schematics

Make sure all technical documentation is reviewed and approved by cognizant departments through our CM Agile function

Ensure consistency and adherence to company standards and guidelines in all illustrations which include Bi-Annual Reviews of technical documentation for accuracy and incorporation of temporary revisions

Conceptualize engineering drawings and photos to create technical illustrations in a different orientation or viewpoint than the viewpoint shown in the source materials

Organize and manage a comprehensive documentation repository

Maintain version control and document management systems as well as edit documentation via a portal interface for hosted materials and interact with vendor for addition, deletion and document control

Revise and update existing illustrations based on feedback and product changes

Assist in the development of training materials and resources

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Graphic Design ,

Communications , or an

Aviation

related field

3+ years of experience in a

documentation

role within an

engineering environment

( aerospace ,

telecom ,

electronics , or a similar field preferred)

2+years aviation experience (recommended)

Travel up to 10% of the time (domestically)

Required Skills, Talents & Experience

Proven experience as a

technical illustrator

or similar role with a portfolio of demonstrated work

Exceptional

writing ,

illustration

and

editing

skills

Experience with documentation tools such as

Adobe FrameMaker ,

MadCap

Flare , or Microsoft Word

Proficiency in graphic design software such as

Adobe Illustrator

or

InDesign

Familiarity with

Process Mapping

and

Design Software

( Microsoft Visio

or

Lucid Chart )

Basic understanding of

web development

( HTML ,

CSS ,

JavaScript )

Ability to clearly convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences

Excellent research and analytical skills

Preferred Skills, Talents & Experience

Strong project management skills

Experience with iSpec, ATA, or other industry documentation standards

Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations (ATA, FAA, EASA, etc.)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to continuous improvement and learning

Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy

Familiarity with Content Workflow software (Jira)

Equal Pay Disclosure(s) Base Pay:

64,000.00 - 80,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
