Position Summary This opportunity is for a junior interior designer that is creative, passionate about design, and values a team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to balance their creativity with functionality to ensure our clients' vision is understood and translated into beautiful, purposeful spaces. The candidate for this position will work in collaboration with the Interior Design and Architecture groups to provide services in all Design Studios.
Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Compensation for this position is $60,000.00-$70,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. We receive a wide variety of applicants and recognize that the person selected may be less experienced or more experienced. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develop and update space plan concepts
Participate in selection of furniture and preparation of furniture specifications
Collaborate on multiple projects under the supervision of senior level staff for all phases of commercial interior projects
Assist project team with coordination of drawings, specifications and materials
Production of design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
Ability to work well in teams and with multiple disciplines
Ability to work and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Proficiency in Creative Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Required Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture, or equivalent experience
2-5 years of relevant experience in an Architecture or Interior Design firm is required
2-5 years experience using AutoCAD and Revit
Working towards Interior Design Licensure/Certification
Preferred Experience
Experience with computer assisted design software such as Enscape and SketchUp
Experience in construction document development, finish selection and space planning/programming
Working Conditions JMT Architecture offers a hybrid work schedule. Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
