The Editorial Copywriter is responsible for delivering engaging on‑brand copy appearing across Zappos marketing channels. This role supports the Head of Editorial & the editorial team and works closely with cross‑functional teams on a daily basis, including creative, marketing & merchandising, to ensure brand messaging is compelling, cohesive, and adherent to the established Zappos brand copy guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Write clear, concise copy for Zappos marketing assets
Ensure all copy adheres to the established Zappos brand voice, tone & editorial standards
Meet tight deadlines in a reactive environment without sacrificing quality
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas & see them through to the customer
Research industry trends & track competitors to inform copywriting strategy
Proactively identify opportunities to help improve processes & marketing workflows
Proofread marketing assets & materials as needed
Basic Qualifications
Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in English, Advertising, Marketing, or related field
3+ years professional copywriting experience; fashion retail experience required
Near‑perfect grammar, editing, & proofreading skills
A digital portfolio showcasing strong examples of past work
Curiosity & passion for fashion and the latest trends a must
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and implementing them in creative ways
Experience with Adobe Workfront or similar project management tool
In‑house brand experience
Experience using AI technology as a copywriting tool

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $102,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
