Overview UAG is looking for a strategic and hands‑on Social Media Manager to lead our social presence across key platforms. This role blends social strategy, daily deployment, and active community engagement with light content creation. You’ll be responsible for shaping how our brand shows up socially, fostering authentic relationships with our audience, and turning social activity into measurable business impact. UAG is a fast‑growing Southern California brand that designs, manufactures, and sells rugged, lightweight, drop‑tested accessories for smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and AirPods to support an active lifestyle.
Social Strategy
Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and business objectives
Define platform‑specific approaches (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.) based on audience behavior and performance data
Plan monthly and quarterly content calendars that balance brand storytelling, engagement, and performance goals
Stay current on social trends, platform updates, and best practices to continually evolve strategy
Social Deployment & Execution
Own day‑to‑day publishing across all social platforms, ensuring consistent voice, timing, and quality
Coordinate with internal teams and partners to source assets and align on campaign launches
Manage scheduling, posting, and optimization using social management tools
Ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and compliance across all social content
Community Engagement
Actively manage and engage with the social community through comments, messages, and mentions
Foster meaningful two‑way conversations that build trust, loyalty, and advocacy
Monitor sentiment and flag insights, opportunities, or issues to internal teams
Support influencer, partner, and user‑generated content engagement where applicable
Light Content Creation
Create light social‑first content including captions, short‑form copy, basic graphics, and simple video (Reels, Stories, TikTok‑style content)
Edit and adapt existing assets for social formats and platform requirements
Capture occasional in‑the‑moment content at events or activations when needed
Collaborate with creative teams on larger campaigns and content needs
Reporting & Optimization
Track performance metrics such as engagement, reach, growth, and traffic
Provide regular reporting and insights with recommendations for improvement
Test new content formats, posting times, and messaging to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or creator‑led business
Strong understanding of social platforms, algorithms, and best practicesProven experience with community management and audience engagement
Comfortable creating light content using tools like Canva, native platform editors, or basic video apps
Excellent writing and communication skills with a strong sense of brand voice
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Passion for social media, culture, and digital storytelling
Nice to Have
Experience with paid social collaboration or influencer programs
Familiarity with analytics tools and social management platforms
Experience supporting product launches, events, or campaigns via social
Ability to work cross‑functionally with e‑commerce and email marketing teams
