Freelance Designer

This is an open call for

mid-level and senior freelance designers

with strong experience in brand-centric and CPG-driven work—particularly across branding systems, packaging, and visual identity. While Stone is based in Colorado, we collaborate with talent across the country and welcome national partners who thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-moving studio environment.

What We’re Looking For

Bring a strong, brand-led portfolio, with depth in CPG, food & beverage, or consumer products

Think systemically—able to design not just a hero moment, but a brand that scales

Balance concept and craft, with a sharp eye for typography, color, hierarchy, and storytelling

Are comfortable working across identity, packaging, and brand expression

Understand how strategy informs design, even if you’re not leading strategy directly

Can jump into an established team and elevate the work through collaboration

Responsibilities

Brand identity development and evolution

Packaging concepting and production-ready design

Visual systems and brand toolkits

Campaign or launch assets tied to CPG brands

Creative exploration during early-stage concepting

Requirements

Mid-Level Designers: Strong fundamentals, confident execution, ready to own meaningful pieces of work

Senior Designers: Highly refined craft, brand leadership instincts, and the ability to elevate ideas through design
