WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Sr. Sales and Category Analyst, you will be a key member of the Retail Sales & Marketing team, supporting the Infectious Disease portfolio across all retail channels. This role combines category management, data analytics, and strategic insights to drive growth for Abbott and its retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Shopper Insights Leadership
Serve as Abbott’s expert on category and shopper insights to build equity and influence with retailers.
Identify and support programs to grow the category and increase Abbott’s market share.
Provide actionable insights to optimize assortment, distribution, and category placement.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Leverage data sources (Amazon Vendor Central, CVS Gateway, Nielsen/Circana, Walmart Scintilla, and other Retailer sales and data platforms) to unlock insights and drive business growth.
Create compelling presentations with clear headlines and data-driven recommendations.
Prepare weekly/monthly scorecards for retail accounts and manage ad-hoc reporting requests with same-day turnaround.
Analyze post-category reset data from POS and shopper data.
Financial Modeling
Partner with Finance to develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the impact of pricing, trade promotions, and assortment changes on revenue and profitability.
Play a strategic role supporting the Sales team with annual planning, scenario analysis, and margin optimization.
Retail & Trade Strategy
Develop retail trade promotion guidelines by analyzing current and competitive promotions to optimize ROI and preserve brand integrity.
Conduct monthly/quarterly business reviews with accounts.
Assist with innovation launch plans and create retailer-specific sell stories.
Technology & Tools
Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards for leadership, sales, and marketing teams.
Incorporate automation and efficiencies across on standard reporting.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING Required
4+ years of experience in category management, retail analytics, or sales support.
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (PowerBI).
Experience with syndicated data (Circana, Nielsen) and retailer-specific platforms.
Preferred
FMCG or healthcare experience.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
