Role: Senior Automotive Client Advisor, Sales & Marketing Consulting
The Team: Our OEM partnership team delivers strategic automotive insights through data analysis and client collaboration, transforming vehicle registration, sales, VIO, and loyalty data into actionable market intelligence that drives our automotive clients' business decisions. As trusted advisors, we bridge the gap between complex data solutions and real-world business outcomes, working directly with client teams on strategic projects and proactive analysis to provide differentiated value and strategic insights.
Responsibilities and Impact
Serve as the primary onsite client advocate, promoting S&P Global's automotive data solutions including Catalyst for Insight and Loyalty Analytics Tool through strategic analysis, comprehensive reporting, and targeted investigations that drive specific client objectives.
Transform complex automotive data into actionable business insights, understanding customer challenges and delivering data-driven solutions that directly impact their strategic decision-making processes.
Present compelling analytical findings and business implications to diverse audiences ranging from analysts to C-level executives through both intimate one-on-one sessions and formal presentations to large client groups.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal S&P Global teams including account management, production, and product development to implement analytical research studies that exceed client expectations.
Enhance client capabilities by providing comprehensive training on S&P Global data solutions, demonstrating tangible value propositions that increase platform adoption and maximize return on investment.
Capture and communicate Voice of Customer feedback to account teams and Product Management, directly influencing product enhancements, retention strategies, and new solution development that shapes the future of automotive analytics.
What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or Marketing with 4 years of automotive industry analysis experience in marketing, sales, analytics, or consulting roles preferred.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with proven skill in adapting messaging and delivery style to diverse audiences from technical analysts to executive leadership.
Strong skills to convert customer requirements and study design needs into clear technical specifications and actionable project parameters.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with demonstrated ability to create compelling data visualizations and executive-level presentations.
Solid understanding of database concepts and query design principles, including experience working with compiled files and multiple data source integration.
Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment including home office, corporate locations, and extensive client site presence (up to 80% travel based on client needs and business requirements).
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Analytics, or related field) with specialization in automotive market research, consumer behavior analysis, or business intelligence.
Experience with advanced analytics tools and platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, or Python for data visualization and statistical modeling.
Proven track record in automotive industry segments including OEM partnerships, dealer network analysis, consumer purchasing patterns, or aftermarket services evaluation.
Professional certifications in project management (PMP), market research (such as PMRP), or data analytics demonstrating commitment to continuous professional development.
Compensation and Benefits S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
