NEWS PRODUCER (PRIMARY) - WSMV (TELEMUNDO)
WZTV/WUXP/WNAB has an immediate opening for a creative News Producer. In this role, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day production of our newscasts. The shift is weekend evenings and three nights a week. This position will work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and Anchors on the newscast and its content, determining the content and flow of newscasts, generating and writing stories, and developing content for our website.

Collaborate with EP, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors
Determine content and flow of newscasts
Generate, write stories and develop website content
Qualifications
Solid news judgment
Compelling and accurate written communication
Strong multitasking and time‑management skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Execution of news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
Flexibility and on‑the‑spot problem‑solving skills
Proficiency with non‑linear editing (Avid, Mimir) and newsroom systems such as iNews or Saga
Experience
At least some previous news‑producing experience at a commercial TV station; entry‑level candidates may be considered
A journalism degree preferred
