Job Description The successful Interior Designer candidate focuses on the development and refinement of design deliverables, actively participates in client design reviews and presentations, and maintains a high degree of creativity in problem solving while adhering to company standards and templates. Projects range from renovation to new construction, and the role requires coordination with team members under minimal supervision. Project work may include space planning, design development, detailed design, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

Works independently, with guidance from an experienced Interior Designer or Architect, to execute all phases of design.

Generates design and construction models and documentation using Revit or other BIM software.

Conducts product research, evaluates materials, and coordinates with vendors and suppliers.

Generates and presents studies, visualizations, and reports to internal and external clients.

Communicates design concepts effectively through sketching, visualization, and documentation.

Plans and organizes work to meet project deadlines while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes.

Participates and contributes during drawing reviews, coordination meetings, and quality checks.

Minimum Qualifications

Accredited Professional Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s), or Canadian/international equivalent.

Seven years of professional experience.

NCIDQ certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office suite.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).

Experience with visualization software (Enscape, SketchUp, or similar).

Flexibility for moderate travel to support project‑based or training activities.

Excellent verbal, written, and graphic presentation skills.

LEED accreditation, WELL certification, or similar sustainability credentials.

Experience with interior finish material, color selection, and specifications.

Knowledge or experience with corporate office, workplace, or advanced technology industry design projects (laboratories, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or consumer products).

Experience with selection of furniture systems and associated specifications.
