Position Overview This position is in-office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Essential Functions

Develop and nurture partnerships with subject matter experts (SMEs) to satisfy client requests

Research training requests through available data, case studies, laws/statutes, case law, and industry standards

Draft training goals, learning objectives, and behavioral modification points for training materials

Design and develop learning solutions that include instructor‑led training (ILT) (PPT presentations), eLearning (LMS modules), and alternative learning solutions (job aids, info graphics)

Ensure the organizational document review process (DRP) is completed for each training

Adhere to the Spark Training Style Guide to ensure consistent design across projects

Demonstrate initiative in learning new software, as indicated, to design interactive training materials

Develop an organizational and basic correctional industry knowledge base

Pursue opportunities to learn and grow as an instructional designer

Demonstrate familiarity with the Articulate 360 Suite

Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in PPT and other Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel)

Actively participate in the recognition program

Complete assigned LMS training by due date

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date position BUS plan and goals

Any and all other duties as assigned

Training Expectations Associates in this role are expected, as a condition of employment, to complete all training assigned within a reasonable time period, generally within less than 15 days.

Supervisory Responsibility This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have the authority to hire, fire, discipline, discharge, assign overtime, and/or direct and assign work, with the ability to effectively recommend any of these actions.

Work Environment This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is NOT a hybrid, telecommute or remote role. This role is 100% in-office.

Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, or stand, as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel This position occasionally may require travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

2+ years of experience in designing instructor led training (ILT) is required

Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SME) is required

Experience with Articulate is preferred

Strong Microsoft Office, design, and written communication skill sets

Working knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe preferred)

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of a team

Trustworthy, confident, and responsible when handling or presenting sensitive information
