Primary Responsibilities
Develop relationships in the U.S. Senate and House to produce original reporting for The Daily Wire
Produce original news for The Daily Wire based on stories assigned or approved by the Washington Editor, Editor‑In‑Chief, or authorized editors
Report on stories in on‑camera news media interviews or other video formats, both internal and external
Experience & Requirements
4 years or more of experience as a news reporter
Smooth, compelling, and precise writing style
Strong ability to interview people and dig for information
Ability to work on tight deadlines
Knowledge of the political editorial landscape and the audience of our publication
Knowledge of Congress: how committees work, how legislation is drafted, who the key players are, etc.
A willingness and ability to spend time on the Hill, cultivating sources with lawmakers and staffers and keeping an ear to the ground for developing stories
