Responsibilities Highlights of Responsibilities:

Copy, edits, proofreads and revises communications

Assists in development of company literature and other forms of marketing and communications

Recommends, implements and maintains internal and external website design and operation

Coordinates company’s social media presence

Tracks print and online promotional campaigns

Helps to analyze and measure marketing techniques to improve strategies, including researching and identifying new opportunities to expand marketing efforts in support of strategic, marketing goals, such as overall corporate branding, conference participation, sponsorship, and business development efforts

Assists in preparation of briefing materials

Manages the planning and onsite requirements for conferences and tradeshows, including booth design and layout, planning and submission deadlines, submitting requirements to vendors, managing vendors, managing the budget, managing inventory and shipping requirements, and completing set-up and breakdown

Participates in creative team brainstorming sessions to develop theme and tagline ideas for conferences, advertisements, videos and presentations, marketing materials and other marketing-related items

Manages marketing giveaways, including coming up with innovative ideas, researching pricing and vendor options, obtaining quotes and samples, approving artwork, placing and receiving orders, and tracking inventory

Manages information flow, deadlines, and submissions for white papers and speaking opportunities

Coordinates employee engagement initiatives

Designs and coordinates corporate communications

Creates, implements and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its services

Suggests promotional campaign ideas in various types of media, as well as counsels top management on effective communication strategies

Prepares and distributes external communications related to financial and other public news releases

Responsible for internal communications such as the employee newsletter, employee portal communications and other message functions, including social media

Responsible for maintaining policies and procedures, monitoring company media, and utilizing electronic publishing technology

Qualifications Requirements:

— Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field

— 2 years of experience in communications, corporate relations, or social media management, preferably in a corporate or gov con environment

— Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and platforms

— Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems

— Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

— Self‑motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

— High level of independence, energy and integrity, including demonstrated respect for a diversity of opinions and styles

— Proven ambassador of culture and innovative content and delivery generator

— Must work in the Reston office 2 times per week

— Ability to travel and attend evening events
