Overall Responsibilities:
The Graphic Designer is a creative professional responsible for producing original, concept‑driven visual communications that support LEER Group’s marketing and brand objectives. This role requires advanced design expertise, independent judgment, and a high degree of creativity to develop compelling visual content across print, digital, and experiential channels.
The Graphic Designer contributes to visual strategy, conceptualizes and executes marketing materials, and ensures brand consistency for all LEER consumer brands. This role involves non‑routine creative work that relies on imagination, innovation, and interpretation. The Graphic Designer must be a self‑starter with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to independently manage creative projects from concept through completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Creative & Conceptual Design
Create
original, creative, and conceptual driven designs
for digital and print applications.
Develop visual concepts for marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives.
Produce infographics, custom illustrations, retouching, layout compositions, and other advanced graphic materials.
Ensuring all creative work supports brand identity, business objectives, and marketing strategy.
Digital & Print Asset Development
Design and develop marketing collateral including product literature, sell sheets, manuals, trade show materials, point‑of‑purchase displays, and digital assets.
Build and enhance PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.
Ensure high production quality and adherence to design principles (typography, color theory, imagery, layout, retouching).
Photography, Video & Asset Management
Assist in directing and supporting products, lifestyle, and studio photography and video shoots.
Ensure visual assets meet project objectives, brand standards, and technical requirements.
Manage and curate digital asset inventory using the Widen Digital Asset Manager (DAM) to maintain an organized, accurate, and up‑to‑date marketing library.
Cross-Functional & Agency Collaboration
Collaborate with internal departments, cross‑functional teams, and external agencies to execute marketing campaigns and creative initiatives.
Support collaborative planning for trade shows, communication events, and product launches.
Provide creative recommendations that improve message clarity, visual impact, and customer engagement.
Strategic & Analytical Contributions
Participate in strategic discussions on branding, creative direction, campaign design, and communication strategy.
Analyze performance and engagement metrics to refine creative approaches and improve communication effectiveness.
Recommend enhancements to design processes, workflow efficiencies, and visual strategy.
Professional Autonomy
Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, independently prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
Apply discretion and meaningful creative judgment in developing and evaluating design solutions.
Ensure all creative output meets objectives with minimal supervision.
Other Duties
Assist with sourcing imagery, illustrations, and graphic assets.
Coordinate with print vendors and manage production processes.
Perform other duties as assigned to support marketing initiatives.
Characteristics and skills:
Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills with the ability to develop original design solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with non‑technical personnel and cross‑functional teams.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and PowerPoint.
Thorough understanding of graphic design principles, printing processes, and digital media standards.
Ability to exercise independent creative judgment and solve complex visual problems.
Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Adaptability to changing project requirements and diverse assignments.
Understanding of UI design and information architecture principles.
Ability to think strategically and creatively with strong executional follow‑through.
Willingness to participate in photography and video direction when needed.
Self‑starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Assertive, confident, collaborative, and skilled in building strong working relationships.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel when required.
Educational and other requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, or related field.
5+ years of professional graphic design experience supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual and executional ability.
Advanced proficiency in design software, multimedia tools, and presentation development.
Experience creating infographics, marketing collateral, and digital assets.
Strong understanding of production and printing processes and quality control.
