About North Spore North Spore is on a mission to make mushroom cultivation and education accessible to allindoors and out. From mushroom grow kits and cultivation tools to educational content and scientific expertise, were empowering a new generation of growers.
Role Overview We're seeking a Graphic Designers to work with the Creative Director to produce creative assets for packaging, pamphlets or handouts, or web design. You would be responsible for communicating with and supplying design files to printers and manufacturers, and organizing digital design files on the shared North Spore drive.
Key Responsibilities
Produce quality work and adhere to deadlines
Take part in weekly creative meetings and discussions with Creative Director
Update existing assets as needed for new applications
Create banners for website and other sales channels
Design and execute packaging such as labels and cartons for new and updated products
Logo development and design for new product lines
Create hand drawn and vector illustrations as needed for designs
Illustrations for blog posts/articles as needed
Write copy for instructional materials such as booklets and manuals
Work directly with contacts for the factories we use and ensure clear communication so designs get executed correctly
Qualifications
Proficiency with Adobe Suite
At least two years of graphic design experience for a brand or agency
Ability to follow deadlines
Ability to interface with printing companies
Comfortable commuting daily to the Portland, ME, facility
