Strategic Marketing Manager – Nylon Solutions
Position Summary:
The Strategic Marketing Manager plays a critical role in advancing the Nylon Solutions business by developing and executing data‑driven marketing strategies and insights. This role integrates market intelligence, competitive analysis, and macroeconomic trends to inform business decisions, shape go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies, and strengthen value propositions. The manager partners cross‑functionally with Product Management, Sales, Technology, and other key stakeholders to drive visibility, alignment, and execution around strategic priorities—including sustainability and growth initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and synthesize market data, customer trends, and competitor activity across key end markets.
Track macroeconomic and regulatory trends that could impact demand for all nylon LoBs.
Support the creation and maintenance of Market Maps, segmentation models, and TAM/SAM/SOM sizing to inform portfolio strategy.
Maintain and own subscriptions in alignment with Business needs.
Establish, optimize, and govern the use of AI/Digital Agents autonomously and continuously harvest and structure high‑fidelity market, competitive, and customer sentiment data.
Lead comprehensive competitive and market analysis, synthesizing digital intelligence with traditional research to deliver clear, data‑driven strategic narratives, models, and forecasts for executive leadership.
Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME), consulting with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to translate synthesized market insights into concrete, targeted strategic plans and effective go‑to‑market execution.
Insight Delivery
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Power BI, etc. to provide visibility to market dynamics and internal performance.
Assist in building business cases and opportunity assessments by integrating external market research with internal data.
Compile and summarize Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback from customer interviews, surveys, and third‑party research platforms.
Organize and maintain a library of key intelligence resources including reports, interviews, customer insights, and analyst commentary.
Own the monthly end‑to‑end Market Insights Reporting across segments, deliver to the leadership team and refine for relevant cross‑functional team.
Translate complex technical features into customer value.
Lead NPIs guiding projects through stage‑gate processes with clear commercial input and disciplined execution.
Work with customer marketing to lead and upkeep conferences planning that deliver value to the organization.
Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of strategic research initiatives, external interviews, and internal workshops.
Support marketing campaign development and positioning through competitor audits and product benchmarking.
Collaborate with Commercial and Product teams to track key metrics and support go‑to‑market (GTM) readiness.
Lead development of marketing narratives, solution briefs, and positioning frameworks to support commercial teams.
Support pricing strategy through value‑based narratives and competitive benchmarks.
Champion Leads to Opportunity Pipelines across all end‑markets.
Sustainability Support
Work with Sales Support execution of the Nylon Solutions Sustainability Strategy by tracking progress on PIR/PCR initiatives across verticals.
Assist in managing the lead‑to‑revenue pipeline for PIR/PCR opportunities through lead tracking, stakeholder follow‑up, and metrics reporting.
Maintain and enhance tools that track PIR/PCR sales volumes, certification statuses (e.g., ISCC+, SCS), feedstock availability.
Lead coordination of annual PIR/PCR certification renewals (e.g., SCS, ISCC+) and ensure ongoing compliance through documentation and internal coordination.
Support go‑to‑market efforts including sustainability‑related conference planning, content review, and capturing leads and insights post‑events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in marketing, business analysis, or commercial support roles, preferably within chemicals, materials, or manufacturing industries.
Digital Intelligence Expertise: Proven, hands‑on experience utilizing or managing specialized digital agents, web scraping tools, or advanced AI/ML models for market and sentiment data extraction and analysis (e.g., using Python, R, specialized platforms).
Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to model, forecast, and synthesize data from multiple disparate sources (quantitative and qualitative).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and market analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Dynamics).
Strong project management skills, communication and organizational skills with a detail‑oriented, collaborative work style.
Understanding go‑to‑market strategies and new product commercialization processes.
Exposure to SAP, CRM systems, or certification databases preferred.
