Job Description
As an instructional designer you'll have the chance to leave a permanent impression on the training and development of employees and influence behavior and skill building that will protect the company and enhance the careers of our employees. You'll report to the Manager of Company Training on the Training and People Development team and be part of the People organization. Training and People Development is a centralized function for all things learning, training and career development with a mission to advance the careers, capabilities and compliance of individuals and teams.
Responsibilities
Work with all areas of training and development including learning and development, company-wide training and operations training to uplift our current training and development offerings.
Work closely with stakeholders within the People team as well as in risk, compliance, privacy, technology, operations and others to assess and meet the training needs of our employees and to address skill and knowledge gaps.
Utilize and partner with software and suppliers as needed to optimize our training and the training function.
Play a critical role on the Training and People Development and across all aspects of training to ensure we are utilizing best practices and efficiently leveraging one another to deliver consistent high quality training and development.
Requirements
A background and proven track record in instructional design, ideally in a regulated environment.
Experience with fast-growth startups is a plus.
Deep expertise in training program design methodology and proficient in high engagement training techniques that go far beyond simple slides.
Must be someone who is highly results‑driven, a self‑starter, fully accountable, intellectually curious, agile, comfortable with change and ambiguity, strong communicator, attentive to the voice of the customer, collaborative and can scale.
Proficient in instructional design software (e.g., Articulate Storyline).
Ability to successfully operate in an early‑stage company, delivering at a rapid pace with limited resources.
Ability to see around corners i.e., anticipate potential risks and opportunities and be able to respond effectively to those situations.
Ability to effectively partner with seasoned and mission‑driven team members.
Effectively influence and collaborate with others both inside and outside the organization through strong leadership and team skills.
Bachelor's degree in instructional design or related field.
