We’re looking for a
Producer
to join our Reuters Editorial team in Los Angeles in a
temporary
role. The team reports on a wide range of stories, including news, politics, immigration, technology, entertainment, and sports, and produces longer feature pieces for broadcast and digital clients.
About the Role
Produce, edit, write and deliver agency video stories from office and field.
Respond quickly to major breaking news events, responsibly.
Work long hours, some weekend shifts, often under extreme pressure and unsupervised.
Maintain a sharp eye for visual news elements and video storytelling.
Have a thorough understanding of video technology and social media.
Communicate effectively across teams.
About You
Minimum five years of experience as a professional video producer with a strong track record covering hard news.
Significant experience working with multimedia and video packaging teams.
Experience in broadcast or agency television newsgathering and production.
Willingness to travel to breaking news stories, often at short notice.
Strong skills in driving accuracy and speed while upholding Thomson Reuters editorial principles and policies.
Understanding of broadcast and digital client needs regionally and internationally.
Excellent English writing skills.
