Our News Anchor is the trusted voice and face of our newsroom—delivering compelling, accurate, and engaging content across all platforms. This role combines strong on-air presence with editorial leadership to connect with audiences in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities
Presents news stories and other content for all platforms, including CTV Digital
Hosts a Digital CTV Show
Upholds the highest standards of journalistic integrity and production quality
Writes and delivers clear, concise, and engaging news stories
Produces newscasts and provides clear direction to team members
Collaborates on writing, copy editing, research, and coordination of news programming
Reports from the field as assigned and conducts interviews
Responds quickly to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations
Participates in promotional activities and community events
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Edits video clips as assigned
Writes content for the website and other digital platforms
Engages with viewers and users on social media
Requirements & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to ad‑lib when necessary
Minimum of four years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring (varies by market size)
Strong on‑air presence and excellent news judgment
Broad knowledge of local and national current events, history, and key issues
Leadership experience with the ability to guide, motivate, and mentor others
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong listening and problem‑solving skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Flexibility to work any shift
