About the Role Senior Visual Designer (Growth). Reports to Creative Director. Location: San Francisco (HQ), Seattle, or Los Angeles.
Armada is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to help shape brand across digital, web, and print. This role combines impeccable taste, hands‑on technical skills, and the ability to translate complex products into compelling visual narratives. The ideal candidate embraces the startup mindset and is energized by the opportunity to help build a company leading the world in AI edge computing.
Key Responsibilities
Design across multiple formats – digital, web, print, and more – delivering distinct yet unmistakably Armada brand.
Work with the Growth team to develop, implement, and maintain Armada’s brand language.
Invest in understanding complex subjects like edge computing and AI infrastructure and express them visually.
Partner closely with UI/UX leads to ensure brand is visually consistent across the entire user experience.
Support cross‑functional teams by designing presentation decks and empowering others to maintain brand quality on their own.
Manage execution details across digital and physical formats, ensuring designs are production‑ready and meet technical standards.
Own timelines and communicate milestones to ensure smooth, on‑time delivery.
Required Qualifications
8+ years visual design experience in brand or related area.
Exceptional portfolio showcasing stylistically diverse design work across digital, web, and print.
Fluent in design principles including typography, color, layout and composition, symbolism, and art direction.
Expert skill level in typical design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma).
A spirit of experimentation and a strong point of view, paired with judgment to know when to push and align with shared goals.
Aware of current design trends, tools, and visual culture, bringing a modern sensibility to every project.
Appreciative of clean, minimal design that prioritizes clarity over decoration.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to compellingly present ideas and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Able to receive feedback and translate it into executable design adjustments.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design.
Strong sketching or drafting skills.
Experience with 3D modeling and rendering pipeline (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D).
Understanding of motion design principles like pacing and rhythm.
Demonstrates UI/UX design thinking that balances user experience with brand consistency.
Experience designing scalable icon sets and libraries.
Compensation $120,000 - $150,000 USD base salary. Plus equity and subsidized benefits.
