About the Role
EGS is hiring onsite Piping Designers in Greenville, SC for large‑scale EPC and nuclear/industrial projects. Opportunities exist at Senior Design Specialist, Senior Piping Designer, and Principal Piping Designer levels. Final level is based on scope ownership, decision‑making authority, and technical depth.
Base Pay Range $75.00/hr - $83.00/hr
What You’ll Do (All Levels)
Develop, review, and modify piping models, drawings, and layouts
Interpret P&IDs, specifications, vendor data, and field conditions
Create piping designs using
SmartPlant 3D (S3D)
and related tools
Perform field walkdowns and incorporate redlines
Coordinate with mechanical, structural, electrical, and construction teams
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements
Support material take‑offs, vendor reviews, and construction activities
Execute piping layouts with minimal supervision
10+ years of piping design experience
Industrial or nuclear EPC experience preferred
Lead piping layout for assigned systems/areas
Check work from other designers
12–15+ years of piping design experience
Strong constructability and EPC experience (nuclear preferred)
Define piping layout strategy and resolve complex issues
15+ years on large EPC projects
Proven leadership and deep technical expertise
Additional Requirements (All Levels)
Ability to work onsite in Greenville, SC
Experience supporting construction and field execution
Strong communication and multi‑discipline coordination
GSA reimbursable per diem may apply for travelers
